رام الله - استقبل معالي وزير الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات الدكتور م. اسحق سدر في مكتبه أمس وفدا من البنك الدولي ممثلا بالمدير الإقليمي للبنية التحتية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وجنوب افريقيا د. بول أم، والمدير والممثل المقيم للبنك الدولي في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة السيد ستيفان إمبلاد، وأخصائي الطاقة وقائد البرنامج السيد اشوك سركار، وخبير التنمية الرقمية وقائد الفريق الفني اريك دوناند، وأخصائي التحول الرقمي م. عصام خياط ، وذلك بحضور رئيس وحدة البنك الدولي المهندس زهدي جرار، و رئيس اللجنة التوجيهية للمشروع المهندس ليث دراغمة، وذلك لمناقشة آخر التطورات والأنشطة المنفذة من قبل الوزارة و التي تخص قطاعي الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات.

وقد اطلع الوفد على آخر الإنجازات والأنشطة المنفذة من قبل الوزارة في مجال التحول الرقمي، بما فيها إنشاء خدمات حكومية الكترونية والبريد الالكتروني الحكومي والربط مع الشبكة الحكومية، بالإضافة الى فحص ومتابعة جودة خدمات الاتصالات بشكل دوري.

وفي سياق آخر، أطلع معاليه الوفد على آخر المستجدات التي تخص تنفيذ مشروع تطوير الخدمات الرقمية في الضفة الغربية وغزة، وما تم تنفيذه والتي أهمها العمل على إنشاء هيئة تنظيم قطاع الاتصالات وهيئة المصادقات الالكترونية، والعمل على إنشاء مركز الاستجابة للطوارئ الموحد وإمداده بالأجهزة والبرامج الفنية اللازمة لتشغيله، وتحويل مكاتب البريد لنقاط خدمات حكومية الكترونية للمواطنين بالإضافة الى تطوير وبناء القدرات في قطاعي الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات.

وقد عبر معالي الوزير سدر عن شكره وتقديره للبنك على التعاون المثمر والدعم المستمر للقطاعات المختلفة في فلسطين وعلى رأسها قطاع الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات بما يحقق أهداف ورؤية الوزارة في التحول الرقمي وتطوير البينة التحتية الرقمية بالشكل الذي يسهم في النهوض بقطاعات أخرى وتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.

World Bank delegation visiting the Ministry of Telecom and IT

Ramallah - His Excellency, Minister of Telecommunication and IT Dr. Eng. Ishaq Sider welcomed in his office yesterday, a delegation from the World Bank represented by the Regional Director for Infrastructure in the Middle East and South Africa Dr. Paul Noumba Um, the Director and Resident Representative of the World Bank in the West Bank and Gaza Strip Mr. Stefan Emblad, Energy specialist and program leader Mr. Ashok Sarkar, and the digital development expert and technical team leader Eric Dunand, and digital transformation specialist Eng. Issam Khayyat, in the presence of the Director of the World Bank Unit at the ministry Eng. Zuhdi Jarrar, and the Head of the steering committee of the DWGP Eng. Laith Daraghmeh, in order discuss the latest developments and activities implemented by the Ministry, which are related to the telecommunications and information technology sectors.

The delegation was briefed on the latest achievements and activities implemented by the ministry in the field of digital transformation, mainly electronic government services, government e-mail and connectivity with the government network, in addition to regular check and testing of the telecom services quality.

In another context, His Excellency briefed the delegation on the latest developments regarding the implementation of the digital West bank and Gaza project, the most important of which is the establishment of the telecom regulatory authority and the certificates authority, the establishment of the Unified Emergency Response Center and providing it with the equipment and technical programs necessary to operate it, and the conversion of post offices into electronic government service points for citizens, in addition to developing and building capacities in the Telecom and IT sectors.

His Excellency Mr Sider expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the World Bank for the fruitful cooperation and continuous support for the different sectors in Palestine, especially for the Telecom and IT sectors, this collaboration aligns with the ministry vision in concluding the digital transformation process and the development of the digital infrastructure, which contributes to the advancement of other sectors and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
