The Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Economy (MTDE) successfully launched the Digital Economy Sectorial Working Group ( DE - SWG), MTDE held the Inaugural Meeting chaired by H.E. Dr. Abdel-Razzaq Natsheh, Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Economy, with the participation of H.E. Huda AlWahidi, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Economy; Enable (Belgium) as Deputy Chair; the World Bank as Technical Advisor; and key members from the government, private sector, civil society, international organizations, and development partners. The meeting was coordinated and facilitated by the Local Aid Coordination Secretariat (LACS).
This meeting marks a significant step in advancing Palestine’s digital economy, aligning with national priorities and international best practices. Discussions focused on sector priorities, challenges, financing needs, and mobilizing private sector engagement and collaboration among members and stakeholders to drive digital transformation.
MTDE remains committed to fostering collaboration, enhancing digital infrastructure, and enabling an inclusive digital economy that supports economic growth and resilience.
The Ministry values the active participation and contributions of all stakeholders and remains committed to advancing the implementation of strategic initiatives to strengthen Palestine’s digital economy.

The Palestinian Liberation Organization has received a grant from the International Development Association (IDA) for USD 20 million for the benefit of the Palestinian Authority (PA) to finance the Digital West Bank & Gaza Project (the Project). The Project will seek to produce concrete and tangible results for the Palestinians by enhancing access to high-speed broadband services and increasing access to selected e-services for citizens and businesses. The Project will focus on key points to unleash digital transformation in the Palestinian territories, addressing some of the bilateral challenges that prevent digital transformation from achieving its full potential. It will strengthen the Palestinian territories' digital resilience and the PA's ability to respond to shocks such as COVID-19.
